Flamengo has confirmed that it will hold a mid-season training camp in Portugal during the break for the 2026 World Cup. The Rio de Janeiro club will spend two weeks in the Algarve, planning to play three friendlies at Estádio Algarve. The team will depart on June 28, following a holiday period for the players, with the first match scheduled against Benfica on July 11, competing for the Algarve Trophy. Additionally, Flamengo is negotiating to face Falkirk FC from Scotland and Birmingham City from England on nearby dates. During their stay, the red-and-black squad will be accommodated in Lagos and will use the fields at Cascade Wellness Resort for training. The mid-season operation is organized by SingularSport, with the return to Brazil set for July 12.
