Flamengo will take advantage of the offseason to closely watch the young players from the base categories. In the related list, coach Leonardo Jardim chose to integrate seven young players, in addition to Lorran and Rayan Lucas, in the delegation that will go to Portugal for training and friendlies.
Who are the young players?
Daniel Thuram, captain of the under-17 team, was called up by the Brazilian selection of the category for a period of training at Granja Comary. He played for the professional team still in the time of Filipe Luís at the beginning of this year for the Carioca, but did not return to gain space with the arrival of Jardim.
What's at stake?
The technical committee asked and the young player was not released by Flamengo to present himself to Brazil precisely so that he could be observed on the trip. The defender is the only one still with age for the under-17 in the list and alternates between the two categories.
