Flamengo forward Everton Cebolinha has attracted interest from Corinthians, but the player's priority is a move abroad. ESPN Brasil reported the São Paulo club's interest, noting that Cebolinha is not an immediate priority for the Timão.
Currently, Corinthians is not planning major investments at this stage of the season. Coach Fernando Diniz is focused on maximizing the performance of the current squad, which places Cebolinha's signing on the back burner, especially given his preference for clubs outside Brazil.
Everton Cebolinha is under contract with Flamengo until December of this year. This means that, starting in June, the forward will be eligible to sign a pre-contract with any other club. He is already working behind the scenes to define his professional future.
Recently, Cebolinha started Wednesday's match against Vitória, being replaced in the second half. During the game, the forward recorded three shots and created one scoring chance, demonstrating his contribution on the field.
Corinthians' squad already includes several former Flamengo players, such as Hugo Souza, Matheuzinho, Gustavo Henrique, Allan, and Vitinho. It's worth noting that Allan is currently on loan from Flamengo to the São Paulo club, strengthening the ties between the teams.
With the transfer window yet to open, Flamengo's attention turns to the Campeonato Brasileiro. The Rubro-Negro's next challenge will be against Atlético-MG, on Sunday, the 26th, at 8:30 PM Brasília time, at Arena MRV.
